Dropdown Menu (CGI)
A simple dropdown CGI menu saves page space and, so, is particularly useful for larger sites or as a secondary menu system. CGI scripted menus are preferable to other scripting methods because they can be used by the greatest majority of browsers. This JumpNcount Perl CGI script was written by Ron F Woolley, Melbourne Australia, and includes features such as logging of link clicks and administration tool.
Dropdown Menu (Javascript)
Like the CGI dropdown menu, this Javascript menu allows for compact presentation of the web site menu. However, Javascript is not recognized by all browsers so this should be considered when deciding upon a menu system.
Menu in Second Window (Javascript)
If your browser is capable, clicking on the hyperlink below will launch a second browser window showing a full index of this web site. Otherwise, it will do nothing at all.

Multiple or Hierarchal Menu (Javascript)
If you use Netscape Communicator 4 or MS Internet Explorer 4, passing your mouse over the first link (to the right) or pressing the second link will reveal a menu with multiple levels. Though quite appealing in function and design, this is perhaps the most restrictive menu script at present due to the limited browser support. I would strongly recommend also using a more widely supported menu system in conjuction. This script is courtesy of the Javascript experts at Webreference.com
